Pennsylvania Re-cap

Hey, y'all! Philadelphia was awesome! We got to see so many places and things I've read about--the Liberty Bell, Congress Hall, Independence Hall, and the post office where Benjamin Franklin was postmaster--as well as just walking around downtown. We just barely made it into Independence Hall; they have to limit the number of people in the Hall at a time, so they do ticketed tours. When we got to the Visitor's Center, they said they had already given out all the tickets for the day. Man, were we disappointed! But then as we started into a different building next door to the Hall, the security officer asked us if we'd gotten to see Independence Hall. When we said no, he said, "How many people are in your party? I have some extra tickets here..." =D So we got to go after all! It was so cool to stand in the room where the issue of revolution was debated; where the Declaration was signed; and where the Constitution was written and signed. We also went to Valley Fo

Philadelphia

Man, it's great to be back in the good ol' US of A! We're in Philadelphia...and we're heading out to get dinner so I'll post about all the cool stuff we did today later!

Niagara Falls

Greetings from Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada! =D We're on a cool family vacation, based in Pennsylvania (sort of) with little forays to Niagara Falls, Philadelphia, and New York City. So far we've just done the Falls. And they are awesome! Really incredible to watch. A few little facts we've learned here: the falls are about 180 ft. tall, 19 million gallons go over per minute , and only 10% of that goes over the American Falls. The other 90% goes over the Canadian Horseshoe Falls. I've got some pictures and videos of the falls that I'll try to put up when we get home. Today we're going behind the falls--that should be exciting! Anyway, I just thought I'd let y'all know what "the Millers in Midland" are up to right now--and why updates on here might be kinda few and far between for a few days. Oh, and really, I am still going to try to post pics and videos of the San Angelo air show! =D May the Lord bless each of you richly with renewed amazem

Welcome!

Hello, everyone, and welcome to my new blog! Hopefully I'll be able to keep everyone updated on what's going on around the Miller house better this way. Yesterday we were in San Angelo at Air Fiesta 2008; we got very sunburned watching all the cool planes! Tomorrow I'll tell more about it, and maybe even post some pictures. But now that I have my website more up-to-date and this started, I should really go to bed. May the Lord bless you richly with all that He is!
