Wow, I can't believe it's May already. Y'all may have forgotten that way back in January, I did a "word of the month" and said something about doing one every month. Well...obviously, I haven't kept that up but I'm going to try again.
First, though, I wanted to mention something else. Over on Kayleigh's blog, Adam and Aimee have written the sweetest, most heart-wrenching post and I suggest you go read it. Kayleigh's brain has started swelling, which is really not a good sign. It looks like the beginning of the end of her earthly life. Please be praying, especially for Adam and Aimee, Kayleigh's parents, and for Brandon and Allyson, Kayleigh's big brother and sister.
So, a word of the month for May. I think that my word for this month is going to be...now. I have this really bad habit of spending a lot of time daydreaming, lost in some imaginary future. The problem is, I can't live in the future. I can only live in the now. Now is where God is living and working. Now is where memories are being made. If I spend all my time thinking of some other time and some other place, I'm going to totally miss now, and I know that I'll regret it if I do that. So, this month I'm going to focus on now.
Oh, and just in case anyone cared, it's just one week to Josiah's birthday, one week and one day to Mother's day, two weeks until Amber (my big sister) graduates from nursing school, and two weeks until my birthday. :) (how's that for contradicting my last paragraph?! But hey...I can live "now" and still look forward to "then"! :) )
And speaking of now...now it is way past time for me to be in bed! :)
